The CPD curriculum is delivered over 12 weeks, with new content released each week. Most practitioners complete the program within this timeframe, though this can vary depending on work and personal commitments. If you need more time, simply extend your access at our member rate of $99 AUD/month. Your progress is saved and you continue exactly where you left off.

The CPD pathway does not require a practical assessment. On successful completion of the 12-week curriculum, you will receive your Certificate of Attainment. If you are an IBCLC, you can claim 50 CERPs as recognised by the IBCLE. If you are interested in progressing to the full TMBP Certification, a separate bridging program is available for CPD graduates.

The curriculum is intentionally delivered on a weekly release schedule. This pacing reflects the way Dr Robyn designed the content to be absorbed and applied progressively. The minimum completion time is 10 weeks. Weekly calls and monthly Q&A webinars are available throughout your membership, regardless of where you are in the curriculum.

Life happens, and the program is designed with that in mind. If you need additional time beyond your initial 3-month period, simply continue your membership at $99 AUD/month. This also applies if you complete the curriculum and want to remain connected to the weekly calls, monthly Q&A webinars, and the Academy community.

The CPD pathway gives you complete access to Dr Robyn's evidence-based curriculum, 50 IBCLE-recognised CERPs, and a Certificate of Attainment on completion. It is designed for practitioners who want to apply the Thompson Method in their existing clinical practice.

The full TMBP Certification goes further It includes 150 hours of observational footage of Dr Robyn working directly with mothers and babies, a practical assessment, and the TMBP credential, which allows you to practise as a certified Thompson Method Practitioner and be listed in the Thompson Method directory. The full certification is cohort-based and requires an application call with Rachael to confirm eligibility.

Completing the CPD pathway first is the recommended starting point for most practitioners. A bridging programme is available for CPD graduates who wish to progress to full certification.

Yes and in many cases, the more experienced the practitioner, the more valuable the program becomes.

The Thompson Method CPD program is not a foundational breastfeeding course. It is an advanced, evidence-based clinical framework that addresses the specific gap Dr Robyn's research identified - one that exists regardless of how many years a practitioner has been working with breastfeeding women. Many of our graduates are highly experienced midwives and IBCLCs who describe the programme as filling a gap they didn't fully understand until they encountered it.

Each week, Rachael Austin RN, RM, IBCLC hosts a live call to accompany the curriculum content. These sessions are designed to reinforce what you have learned, answer clinical questions, and provide the kind of mentorship that no online course alone can offer.

Attendance live is encouraged but not required. Every session is recorded and made available to members within 24 hours. You can also submit questions in advance if you are unable to attend.

Yes. The program is entirely online and available to practitioners worldwide. Pricing is in AUD — equivalent pricing in USD, GBP, NZD and CAD is available at checkout. The weekly calls are held via Zoom and scheduled to accommodate members across multiple time zones. Recordings are available for all members regardless of location.

On completion of the curriculum and assessment, you receive your Certificate of Attainment and if you are an IBCLC - 50 IBCLE-recognised CERPs.
