Katie is a Thompson Method Breastfeeding Educator, birth doula, childbirth educator, wife, and mother of 2 (& expecting her third baby in 2027). Katie first discovered The Thompson Method and used it to prepare for her second breastfeeding journey. After much success and a smooth breastfeeding initiation, she knew she wanted to educate other pregnant women on not only labor and childbirth but also breastfeeding. Katie believes knowledge is power and has seen the significant impact of prenatal education on birth and breastfeeding. Katie owns and operates The Fruitful Labor Birth Co. in Columbia, South Carolina which provides in-person doula services as well as in-person & virtual childbirth and breastfeeding education.
